Decisions

None of us can make perfect decisions.
We try to make the best decisions we can based on the knowledge we have, but there will always be information that we aren’t aware of.

But as Christians…
We know the One who knows what’s best.
And He’s promised to help us.
(Isaiah 46:9-10)

He uses our conscience…
To speak to us.

If it’s the wrong decision…
He stirs up feelings of uneasiness…
Unsettled feelings.

If it’s the right one…
We feel peace about it.
We feel at ease.

But sometimes we suppress those feelings.
We think we know best or we put too much weight in what other people think…
We let them decide.

There’s nothing wrong with advice.
We’re encouraged to seek it.
(Proverbs 15:22)

But if the decision you’re feeling conflicts with the decision you’re thinking or people are guiding…
Pay attention.

You’re feeling that for a reason.
It’s divine intervention.

But it’s up to us to listen.
It’s up to us to trust.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
-Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV

That’s how we walk in God’s will.
That’s how we live the most blessed life possible.
That’s how we fill with joy.

If it’s hard for you to trust Him…
Spend more time with Him.

It’s no different with Him…
Than a close friend.

Those you trust the most…
Are those you know the best.
Give Him more time.

When you do that…
You’ll see that your trust…
Reaches new depths.
