Make decisions based on peace, not logic

Buying something can make sense.
Moving a certain place can make sense.
Starting a relationship with someone can make sense.
And a whole host of other decisions can seem like they make sense.

But, if you don’t have that inner peace, when thinking about making that decision… it’s the wrong decision.

We take in the reality of what we see, and we make decisions from that.

But, our reality is short sighted.

Our reality is what we’ve directly experienced.

But, God’s reality, is all reality.

He sees and knows all…
“Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” -Psalm 147:5

He not only sees and knows the whole picture, He sees and knows the picture as it is now, and as it will be.

And that inner peace inside, is His way of speaking to us.

It’s His way of steering us towards or away from things… for our good.

You may be on the cusp on making a certain decision, having weighed all the facts, and everything points to, “well, this just makes sense”.

If you don’t have peace about it, the facts don’t matter, your logic doesn’t matter, and thinking “well, this just make sense”, doesn’t matter.

A good decision, is a decision made in peace.
A decision made in peace is a God guided decision.
A God guided decision, is the right decision.

You will feel it when you have it, and you will feel unsettled when you don’t.

And, in a day, a week, a month, a year… you may realize in reflection, that it would have been a very bad choice, to go with logic, to go with your reasoning… over going with God’s direction.

It’s foolish to depend on your your smarts, no matter how smart you are.

Intelligence is important, but listening to God is more important.

Listening to God will save you from experiencing pain, it will save you from going down the wrong path, and it will save you from wasting time.

Let peace of heart, be your guide.
It’s God’s wisdom to you.
