Your body is a temple of God, take care of it

Your body is a temple of God.
Take care of it!

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Honor your body!
Something honored is something taken care of.

Treat yourself well!

That doesn’t mean spoiling yourself.

It means watching your thoughts, and staying positive.

It means staying away from anything, or person that tries to bring you down.

It means staying away from food that’s garbage. (Food makes such a big difference in how you feel.)

It means making sleep a priority. (Sleep makes such a big difference in how you feel.)

It means drinking plenty of water. (Drinking lots of water each day is so good for you.)

It means exercising regularly. (Sweating is so good for your body.)

It means not abusing it with substances, or letting anyone abuse you in any way.

It means working hard.
(“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord… “ Colossians 3:23)

It means taking time to rest.
(“By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work.” Genesis 2:2 – If God took time to rest, it means we need to take time to rest.)

These are all very practical basic things, but the more we stick to these things the better our health, our body, our temple, will be.

Do your part to help your temple thrive!

You’re loved!
