Go to God more

We live in a world that consistently encourages self-reliance.

“Believe in yourself!”
“You can accomplish whatever you want to accomplish!”

While phrases like these can be motivational, they can also subtly nudge us towards a life centered around self, rather than God.

The truth is, our strength, our ability, our wisdom…
They’re nothing compared to what God can do through us when we rely on Him.

Self-reliance is a trap.
It induces stress.
It’s burdensome.

Why grit your teeth and try to be self-reliant in your own strength, when, with God, you have access to His endless strength?

“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31, NLT)

Why trust your own limited understanding when you can be provided wisdom from His infinite wisdom?

“Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (Proverbs 3:6, NLT)

So, today, I want to encourage you to go to God more.

Not just in times of need.
Not as a Plan B.

But, rely on Him from the start of your day to the end.

Talk to Him throughout the day.
Stay in tune with Him.
You’ll feel Him leading and guiding you.
You’ll feel less stress.
You’ll feel more joy.

And you’ll want to praise Him more for how good He is.

Your best life, is a God-dependent life.

Live it.
