Trust triumphs

Everything the devil does, is done for one reason…
Destroy your trust in God.
That’s it.

That’s his entire purpose…
His only objective.
That’s it.

He doesn’t want you empowered by God’s power…
Which comes through trust…
Which is faith.

No, he’s a thief.
He’s out to steal your trust, to kill your faith.
It’s who he is.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…”
(John 10:10, NIV)

He doesn’t do it visually, aggressively.
That would be ineffective.
He’s clever.

He does it casually…
Unassumingly.

He puts out bait.
He lures.
He lies.

It’s been that way, through the history of humanity.
It was that way with Eve.

The luring…
“…’Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?'”
(Genesis 3:1, NLT)

Eve’s innocent answer…
“…’Not at all. We can eat from the trees in the garden. It’s only about the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, ‘Don’t eat from it; don’t even touch it or you’ll die.’”
(Genesis 3:2-3, MSG)

The tempting…
“…’You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'”
(Genesis 3:4-5, ESV)

And with that, the first seeds of distrust were planted.
The harvest of which impacts everyone.

It was about breaking trust in God in the beginning.
It’s about breaking trust in God today.
Nothing has changed.

It’s the same trick, served in infinite flavors.
Delivered as tasty as can be.

But, what happens with relentless trust?
Mighty outcomes.

The story of Job, is a story of unwavering trust.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Daniel in the lion’s den.
David and Goliath.

There’s too many stories of trust to list.
The result, supernatural outcomes.
Glory to God.

So, I want to encourage you…
Be someone who’s trust in God is unbreakable.
You’re unconquerable, through Christ.
Walk that way.

Your trust, is your access to supernatural strength.

God’s power is in you.
God’s power is working through you.
Keep trusting.

Stick with God.
Trust Him.
