Look forward

“Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” -Philippians 3:13-14, NLT

It’s natural to experience setbacks, to stumble and fall.
But don’t let your gaze fixate on where you fell.
Keep your eyes focused on where you’re going, on the path that God has set before you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11, NIV

Take the lessons of the past, but not the burdens.
The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence.

Let your past inform you, but don’t let it define you.
Look ahead and embrace the future that God has planned for you.

Remember, the windshield of a car is larger than the rear-view mirror for a reason.
We are meant to focus on what lies ahead far more than on what lies behind.

And ahead of you, lies a God-given purpose that is uniquely yours.
So march on with confidence, trusting in His guidance.

There’s goodness ahead for you.
Look forward!
