Lift your perspective

If something doesn’t turn out as you expect, it’s easy to grumble about it.
It’s easy to complain.

But, that’s a trap that suffocates your joy and leaves your emotions in knots.
It can turn your day (or life) sour.

Whatever the situation, yes, it may leave you frustrated… yes, it’s unfavorable, but you’ve got to lift your perspective.

Joseph is an extreme example, but a perfect one.
Even through being sold into slavery by his brothers, even through being wrongly accused and thrown into prison, his perspective, his alignment to God’s goodness, his faith that God would work through the situation, wasn’t shaken.

If anyone had reason to grumble, it was Joseph.
But, his faith, his perspective, was greater than grumbling… there’s no reason to grumble, if you know you’re headed somewhere greater.

As Joseph said…
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20, NIV)

That’s God, He takes bad, and makes it beautiful…
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28, NKJV)

It’s likely unclear, how God will use a situation you’re in.
But, stay faithful.

It’s only in hindsight that it will be clear.
But know, He’s orchestrating things behind the scenes for your benefit.

Trust, pray, and praise Him through it.

For Joseph, the undeserved muck he went through became a path that propelled him.
It led him to Pharaoh, who appointed him as the second most powerful person in Egypt.

For you, only God knows.
But, it will be something that fills you with joy, something that fills you with thanksgiving, and something that leaves you overwhelmed with how good God is.

Hold onto God.
Hold onto His truth.
He is worthy.
