When you need to make a decision…
Something that’s important…
How do you do it?
Is it to think through all the possibilities?
Is it to ask for advice?
There’s nothing wrong with that…
That can be wise.
But our greatest wisdom…
It comes from God.
It’s through prayer.
That’s the best starting point…
Not what we think.
“For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
-Isaiah 55:9, NLT
We have access to infinite intelligence…
Through God.
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
-James 1:5, NLT
We just need to ask.
Will you ask?
Will you keep Him first…
By asking Him first?
It’s not for His benefit…
It’s for yours.
If prayer is your starting point…
You’ll see things differently.
Your mind will be empowered in ways it wouldn’t otherwise.
You’ll tap into heavenly help…
Help beyond explanation.
It’s often through peace and conviction.
A conviction that clarifies.
A peace that settles.
It’s wisdom that’s divine.
It’s available.
But we need to go to God first…
So His wisdom flows in us from the start.
Not after we’ve exhausted our effort.
Not as a last resort.
So let’s go to God first.
So we make the wisest decisions.
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
