Run your race

It’s easy to look around.
It’s easy to see what someone else has.
It’s easy to compare.

But comparison is a thief.
It steals contentment.

It turns thankfulness…
Into jealousy.

It plants frustration.
It sprouts envy.

If you struggle with comparison…
Let me tell you one thing.

Run your race.

Someone else being blessed…
Doesn’t mean less for you.

You have blessings ahead of you…
Blessings that are meant just for you.
Your name is on them.

Run your race.

I can promise you this…
There’s more satisfaction in what God has for you than in wanting what someone else has.

Run your race.

That’s what we’re called to do.
(2 Timothy 4:7)

Let’s do it as best we can.
Let’s stop looking to the left or the right.
Let’s focus forward.

Let’s cheer others on.
Their victory isn’t your loss.
We’re not competing.

We’re on different tracks…
In different races.

You’re built for the track God gave you.
You’re unbeatable on it.

It’s where your purpose is.
It’s where your gifts are best used.
It’s where you’re fulfilled.

Run your race.
