Culture

Unreliable
Unstable.

That’s our culture.
But that’s where so many look to for truth.
It’s their compass.

If “culture” says something is acceptable…
Then it must be ok.

But the problem with that is…
It’s anchoring yourself to something that’s always shifting.

What was once viewed as offensive…
Is now celebrated.

What was once common sense…
Is now crazy.

Boys thinking they’re girls…
Competing with girls in sports.
Complete insanity.

That’s just one example.
There’s many more.

The point is…
We all seek to be anchored in something.
It’s in our hearts.

But so many…
They’re looking in the wrong place.
They’re lost.

So many want to be accepted…
So they accept anything.

But the problem with accepting anything…
Is that you believe in nothing.

It’s no wonder there’s so much anxiety.
Society is insecure.

What will change next?
Something will.

That causes uncertainty.
That causes fear.

But as Christians…
We’re not anchored in culture.
We’re anchored in Christ.

He’s our foundation.
(1 Corinthians 3:11)

Our rock.
(Psalm 18:2)

Immovable.
(Psalm 62:6)

Unchanging.
(Hebrews 13:8)

We’re planted on granite.
(Ephesians 2:20)

We don’t shift…
Like sand.

We stand firm…
With Christ.

Whatever happens in this world…
It doesn’t change the fact that you’re a child of God…
Loved, protected, and cared for.
(Matthew 6:26)

You have peace…
Through Christ.

Jesus has everything that people want.
But their eyes are vailed.
(2 Corinthians 4:3–4)

They’ve been blinded by the devil’s lies.
But they’re not hopeless.
(2 Timothy 2:25–26)

Their hope comes through the light of Christ that radiates through us.

That’s why it’s so important that we’re not closet Christians.

I’m not saying…
Go preach on the street.

But I am saying…
Don’t hide your faith.

Live in such a way that it’s clear to those around you that you’re a Christian.

That’s a sign…
Showing them the way.
(Matthew 5:16)

You have The Light…
Shine it.
