Be loyal, be used

We all have different personalities.
Some of us are super social, some of us aren’t.
But, there’s no “one type” that God uses.

Look at Moses, he wasn’t a great speaker.
But, God assured him…
“Who has made man’s mouth? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go, I will help you speak and teach you what to say.”
(Exodus 4:10-12, NIV)

And Moses, despite his initial reluctance, listened.
He trusted God, and leaned into Him.
And he was used in a special way.

And then there’s Peter.
Peter was quick to speak, and quick to act.
And that caused issues.

But Jesus, restored Peter.
And Peter became outspoken in the right ways.
He became a cornerstone in the early church, unafraid to preach the Gospel.
He was used in a special way.

Two very different people.
Two special God-glorified outcomes.

So, I want to encourage you…
Don’t ever think that your personality, your past decisions, or anything else limits or eliminates you from being used by God.

What matters is…
Will you listen, will you be loyal?

God’s looking…
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”
(2 Chronicles 16:9)

Be someone He finds.
Be used.
