The war is real, the victory is yours

Spiritual warfare.
It’s real.

And as a Christian, you’ll face it.
You’re a target.

It’s not “if”, it’s “when”.

And the devil isn’t playing games.
He’s out to destroy.

That’s his sole purpose.
(John 10:10)

He wants your faith, flattened.
He wants your relationship with God, wrecked.
He wants your trust, trashed.

And he’s relentless.
And he’s always on the prowl.
And he’s always wanting to devour.

“… Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
(1 Peter 5:8, NIV)

He’ll target your mind.
He’ll try to fill it with lies, and fear.
It’s who he is.

“… When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
(John 8:44, NLT)

He knows your mind is the key to defeating your faith.
Anything to get your eyes off of God.
Anything to hurt your trust.

But, you’re not helpless.
Quite the opposite.
Far from it.

You’re already a conqueror, through Christ.
You’ve just got to walk in it.
You’ve just got to own it.

None of the devil’s schemes have any power over you.
You’ve got God-given victory.
You’ve got God-given armor.
(Ephesians 6:10-18)

You’ve got a shield of faith.
You’ve got a sword in the Word of God.
You’ve got a helmet of salvation.
You’ve got shoes that fill you with peace.
You’ve got a belt that wraps you in pure truth.

You’re fully covered.
You’re fully able.

The devil better not come around you.
He stands no chance.

There’s no defeat with you.
You’re unconquerable…
Thanks to Christ.

His lies, they’ll crumble.
And He’ll run away.

“… Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
(James 4:7, NKJV)

But, stay alert.
It’s not a one time thing.

Oh, he’ll be back.
He’ll pay you another visit.
He hates your relationship with God too much, to not come back and try to poison it.

But, you’ll knock him down again.
And he’ll run away again.
And you’ll win again.

You fight from victory…
Not for victory.
