Your today is not your tomorrow

You may be going through something stressful today.
You may be dealing with someone difficult.

You may be in a situation that’s just tough.
You may be facing a boulder that feels immovable.
You may be feeling discouraged.

Well, let me tell you…
Your today is not your tomorrow.

Your future isn’t defined by what you experience today.
You’re not stuck in any way.

If anything about today is making you feel deflated…
Trust that God is involved in your life…
You’re going to get through it.

It looked bleak when Joseph was sold into slavery.
It was an act of evil by his brothers.

But his brothers didn’t have the last say.
The world never has the last say.

What was meant to harm Joseph, was turned into a situation that propelled Him into power…
Second only to Pharaoh himself.

That’s the God we serve!
That’s who promises to help you!
(Isaiah 41:10)

You’re never on your own!
You’re never alone!

You may be crying out for His help.
He hears you.

You may have not asked for what you’re dealing with.
He knows it.

A world of sin causes a world of pain.
That doesn’t mean our sin equals our pain, but when sin exists, it causes pain for all.
It’s a fallen world.

But when we live in alignment with God…
When we put our trust in Him…
We can have certainty.

We can have certainty that whatever we face…
Whatever situation we deal with…
We’ll benefit from it.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God… ”
-Romans 8:28, NLT

The who, the how, the where, the what…
Those details will reveal themselves.

You do the best you can in the situation you have.
You hold on to that verse.

There’s no doubt that when God said it…
That it won’t be.

You can fully trust His promises.
You can have confidence.

So, go through today, and tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, knowing this.
Reread it to remind yourself.

The world will try to squeeze it out of your mind.
You keep it at the front of your mind.

Whatever difficulties you’re dealing with…
God’s going to take it and turn it into something that blooms beautiful.

That’s something to smile about…
Even when you’re in a fire.

-Steinar
