The heart of a child

They laugh easily.
They forgive quickly.
They love freely.

That’s the heart of a child.
And that’s what God wants for each of us.
(Matthew 18:3)

He wants us to trust like a child…
Knowing He’s faithful.
(Psalm 37:5)

He wants us to depend like a child…
Knowing He’s our source.
(Proverbs 3:5–6)

He wants us to rest like a child…
Knowing we’re safe.
(Psalm 4:8)

That’s a life that doesn’t carry burdens it was never meant to carry.

That’s a life that simply accepts everything that the Father offers.

That’s the beauty of a Christian life…
It offers what the world is chasing everywhere else, but everything else will disappoint.

Because freedom and fulfillment…
It doesn’t come through anything that can be bought.
It comes through Christ.

So, let’s do our best to live with the heart of a child.
It’s what opens the door to receiving everything that the Father has already given.

It’s not weakness…
It’s the way home.
