Forgiven

Sometimes we can be hard on ourselves because we made a mistake.

While we should strive to do our best…
We can’t expect perfection.

Our faith isn’t about flawlessness…
It’s about faithfulness.

It’s about clinging to God…
Not shame.

The devil wants to shine a spotlight on any mistake.

He wants to say…
You consider yourself a Christian?
You’re not worthy.

Without Christ…
That’s true.

But because of Him…
We are.

We’re forgiven…
When we ask.

That’s the gift of grace.

Some people say…
Is grace a license to sin?

To that I’d say…
Only to people who truly haven’t come to know God.

Because if you know God…
You’re not playing a game of taking advantage of the gift He’s given.

Because you know there are more blessings in listening to Him than in trying to manipulate Him.

It’s foolish to think that the speck of dust you are is outsmarting the Maker of everything.

That’s not the case for me.

If you’re reading this…
I don’t think it’s the case for you.

So, let’s walk in alignment with God as best we can.

If a mistake is made…
Let’s be quick to ask for forgiveness.
Let’s learn from it.

Let’s thank God that He’s made a way for our imperfections to become restoration.

You keep walking in your faith.
You’re forgiven.
