Regret

We all have moments we’d love to rewrite…
Words we wish we could take back…
Decisions we’d undo.

But we’re not perfect, so we can’t expect perfect decisions, yet we sometimes still throw the weight of regret onto our backs.

That’s like driving a car where we’re focused on the rear view mirror instead of what’s in front of us.

What’s in front of us…
That’s what matters.

Yes, let’s learn from mistakes.
Yes, let’s make the best possible future decisions.
But, let’s not live in the past.

God in His wonderfulness…
He doesn’t just provide a bit of forgiveness…
It’s forgiveness in full.

The weight of mistakes…
It’s eliminated.

Let’s accept that forgiveness.
Let’s look forward.

God in His greatness…
He takes everything and turns it into goodness.
(Romans 8:28)

Let what’s behind you…
Be behind you.

You’re redeemed.
You’re worthy.

You’re renewed.
You’re clean.

You have God looking at you…
He’s smiling at you.

You’re His child.

He wants you close to Him…
Stay close to Him.

He has good things in store for you.
(Jeremiah 29:11)

So, take a deep breath…
Exhale any weight of regret that you feel.
You’re free from it.

Feel how light you feel.
Thank God for it.
