He wants you back

If a shepherd has 100 sheep, and one goes astray, what does the shepherd do?
The shepherd might think to himself…
“I have 99, that’s enough.”

But, when Jesus shares this story, the shepherd leaves the 99 to find the one.

That might not seem to make sense.
Why risk the 99 for one?

But, in God’s Kingdom, it makes perfect sense.
He loves each of us, individually.
It’s a personal love.

To Him, you’re not just one in a sea of faces.
You are truly unique, and infinitely valuable.
You are specifically on His mind.
You are 100% worth finding.

So, today, I want to encourage you…
If you’ve strayed, know, He wants you back.
Because in His love, He knows that being back with Him is what’s best for you.
It brings out the best in you.

So, if your faith hasn’t been a priority…
If your focus on God has fallen away in any way, know, He wants you back.
He wants to be close to you.

His angels are waiting to rejoice over you…
“Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10, ESV)

It’s the only place you’ll find true peace, and true rest.
And through that, joy that lasts.

God wants you back.
Come back.
