God is our helper.
“So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. …”
(Hebrews 13:6, NKJV)
God is our friend.
“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
(John 15:15, NKJV)
God uniquely created us for a purpose.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
(Ephesians 2:10, NKJV)
God didn’t send His son to give us the gift of eternal life, so that He would leave us on our own through this world.
“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
(Romans 8:32, NKJV)
No, He cares about every detail of our lives, and He knows us better than we know ourselves.
“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
(Matthew 10:30, NKJV)
He is our provider.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
(Matthew 6:25-26, NKJV)
He is our comfort.
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”
(Psalm 55:22, NKJV)
He’s our wisdom.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
(James 1:5, NKJV)
He’s the source of everything we need, both mentally and materially.
Do you feel any lack?
Is there any area of your life you feel empty or unsatisfied?
Go to God in prayer about it.
Don’t just think, “Oh, this is the way it’s going to be with this aspect of my life.”
No!
God’s Word says, “… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10, NKJV)
That doesn’t mean abundance in certain areas of your life and lack in other areas.
There is no half or part with God.
We serve a God of completeness!
He completely covered our sins on the cross.
He wants our lives completely serving, obeying, and in relationship with Him.
Revelations 3:16 (NKJV) strongly says, “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” in reference to people living with one foot in the world and one foot in the Word.
He wants all of you, not part of you.
Nothing with God is part.
It’s all.
It’s fully.
It’s complete.
“… God is love.”
(1 John 4:8, NKJV)
He’s all love.
It’s always all with God.
So when His Word says, “… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10, NKJV) have confidence and trust that those words cover all aspects of your life.
No lack.
No lack in joy!
No lack in health!
No lack in peace!
No lack in finances!
No lack in friendships!
No lack in your ability to be blessing!
No lack in your ability to serve!
No lack in your ability to love!
No lack in your ability to be loved!
No lack in your faith!
No lack in your willingness to forgive!
No lack in your willingness to help those in need!
No lack in any aspect of your life!
Feel a lack?
Go to Him in prayer.
Talk to Him like a friend about it.
Share specifically, so you know specially when prayers are answered.
He cares.
He’s your counselor.
“… And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6, NKJV)
There’s nothing too big or too small to go to Him with.
He wants to be involved in all aspects of your life, and He wants to impact all aspects of your life.
He wants to be the center of your life.
Let Him be the center, and let Him give you the wisdom and direction, that fills any lack you feel.
